Places on Earth
I love maps. This one in particular. It's called "Places on Earth" and is created by You, Me, and the Royal We. It even comes with pins to show where you've been and where you want to go. I would love to put it up in my living room.

Typographic Maps
My friend Adam pointed me to these awesome typographic maps designed by Axis Maps. They make so much sense in that the street names are easy to read and the important things are easy to locate. How many times have you lost your place as you tried to figure out the name of the street you're looking at? Happens all the time to me. You can purchase prints of these posters for Chicago and Boston (NYC, SF, and DC are in the works.)

Where Americans Are Moving

"More than 10 million Americans moved from one county to another during 2008." This map visualizes the movement to and from Chicago. Black lines represent net inward movement and red lines net outward movement. (Only a few moving between Honolulu and Chicago... I'm one of them!) Check out the whole map and all the counties on Forbes.com here.
