Weekend!

My roommates abandoned me this weekend... *tear* So I had to entertain myself without them. [Love you guys! You too, Kate, even though you don't read blogs.]

Dave and I had a lazy, rainy Saturday. (Remember how I said it was 80 degrees last weekend? We're back down to 30s-40s and raining! Sigh.) I made my famous pancakes, we played cribbage (I CAME BACK FROM BEHIND AND WON! I'm attempting to rub it in, but Dave doesn't read blogs either... too bad.), took naps, made some delicious white pizza, and wished for summer by eating some neighborhood ice cream.

I also played with my iPhone. I love this photobooth app!

Thankfully my roomies all returned from near and far today and we're having a movie night.

Happy Palm Sunday!

P.S. I'm writing this from my new computer! And it's starting to look like spring!!

Minnesota

Dave and I went to Minnesota this weekend. Unfortunately, we went up there for a funeral -- sad day -- but we also tried to make the best of it while we were there.

We managed to drive up and back in one day (15 hours of driving... it was intense). Since it was my first time in Minnesota and so that we would be able to spend a little more time there before driving home again, we tried Sebastian Joe's, which will heretofore be known as THE-best-ice-cream-ever. My friend recommended this place and I insist that you try it when you're in Minneapolis. (Thanks for the recommendation, Lauren!)

I had salted caramel and oreo. Dave tried cinnamon honeysuckle and oreo. Seriously, it was amazing. I love salty sweet desserts and the salted caramel blew my mind.

I also spotted some interesting signs at a rest stop. Looks like the DIY trend is spreading. Calling all country singles!

This is my "I'm-excited-to-be-in-a-new-state" face.

Away to Pittsfield

I promised you pictures and pictures you will get. Here are some highlights from Paige and my weekend trip to her hometown...
This is Adrienne. It may look like Paige is attacking her, but it's the opposite. Adrienne was realllly excited about picking raspberries. In fact, she stole many from us. Ha!

One of our first stops was for lunch (ahem, "lunch") at the Dari Ripple. Mmm... ice cream! And candy!

Yep, that's me, the city-island girl, jumping at the corn's edge.

Mama and baby. She's five hours old and is standing for the first time. Let's just say, she was a little bit shell-shocked.

Omigosh, I was in the midst of COWS. I was excited.

Time is blowing my mind! We stopped in itty-bitty Time, Illinois to take some photos and make some time puns, including: let's journey through Time!

Roomies!

So those are some photo highlights of our weekend. We came back tired, sunned, and happy. I'm still dreaming of ice cream from the Dari Ripple...
